Dear FriendI’m inviting you to take part in the biggest economic forum for Estonian business leaders “Kite Fly 2010”, with which we celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the predecessor of the Employers’ Confederation, the first business organisation of Estonia founded on 2nd March 1917 – the Union of Industrialists and Manufacturers from Revel Industrial Region of Estonia Province. As a tradition, “Kite Fly” describes processes taking place in economy and makes suggestions on how to ride future trends. Global trade has dropped to levels not witnessed in the history before. Champions of yesterday are losers today and the developing economies are increasingly dictating the rules. Estonian entrepreneurs must continuously adjust to new trends and monitor world markets for best opportunities for success. In the midst of changing economic situation this year’s "Kite Fly” has changed as well. In previous years we have mainly focused on how to improve the business environment of Estonia, but in the forthcoming conference we will analyse trends in world economy and business opportunities in new, developing and exciting regions. Presentations will be delivered by the President of the Republic of Estonia Toomas Hendrik Ilves, vice president of the European Commission Siim Kallas, special representative of Estonian economy in the countries of North Africa and Middle East Nihad Fahmy and president of the Russian Confederation of Industry and Employers Aleksander Šohhin. Presentations will be followed by discussions with panels. The views of the Estonian government will be presented by Minister of Finance Jürgen Ligi and Minister of Economic Affairs Juhan Parts. The conference moderator is Raivo Vare. Hope to see there! Tarmo Kriis Chairman of the Estonian Employers’ Confederation |
